This picture I actually took during the time when I was taking the pictures for my flower collection. I loved the way he came out. The lady was so nice to let me photograph him. He was a perfect canine model.

Amazing photo! I love the choice for texture you used, it really draws you into focus on the dog. 
I love taking photos using brick roads and old wood buildings or factories; and when I take photos with very little to no texture it always kinda makes the photo kind of bland. I don't know that might just be my way of seeing things though. I do have to ask how you got the dog to sit still? I always have problems trying to keep any animal still lol.
