Pep Talk: Artistic Skills and 'Non-Art' Jobs
Art in the Professions Week
Introduction
Okay, so you've been honing your art skills for years now - you've mastered shading nostrils with chalk and photographing subtle light on trees and vectoring nine thousand different typefaces of the letter "Q". Awesome!
You will soon be Khal of the Great Dollar-Bill Sea.
You put like, ten thousand hours into these skills, and you are going to use them or so help you God. But, you don't want to be a cartoonist or logo designer or the person who photographs babies at the Simpson-Sears. You want to be an accountant, a used car salesman, a restaurateur, basically anything but a staff artist. So you look

Art Merchandise 101: What is it?
As artists, we're mostly all familiar with designing our works with the thought of it one day being displayed in print or poster format. So what can we do if we have bigger and brighter dreams for our works than them simply being limited to a plastic frame hanging above a desk? Collaboration Tournament Contest ~ SIGN UP NOW!
A type of Flash Fiction, six word stories are (very) short stories with an exact word count: six words. SixWordStories (https://www.deviantart.com/sixwordstories) is the place where, alongside quality, quantity really does matter. Though these stories are so brief in length, they can be as profound, if not more, than the prose and poetry you see and read every day, partly because six word stories can tell us so much and yet contain so little.
As a Group, we encourage writers to explore their boundaries with prompts, collaborations and more, but we accept anyone and everyone too! Whether you are a digital artist, photographer, or something else entirely, if you can string six word

Paint Tool Sai vs. FireAlpaca - Review
Artist's Toolbox
Hi guys! Welcome to another one of my articles, this time I'll be giving you a thorough review about two very similar art programs, Paint Tool SAI and FireAlpaca.
Anyone who's just starting out with digital art might be asking themselves, Should I pay for Photoshop? Should I use a crack? Should I look for a free art program?
There are some of those like me, who kinda can't really afford expensive programs, I luckily got my PS in a package that came with my Bamboo Tablet. Luckily, FireAlpaca is free, and Paint Tool Sai has a portable version which is free.

And with the giveaway drawing to a close, I prepared the raffle list and found that by the end of it, there were a total of 1053 raffles, with over 300 entries! I'm so glad that so many people got into it, and more importantly, tagged their friends to get a bit into the festive season of sharing and giving! Reading some of the comments were so lovely to see it all in the atmosphere. Entries were allocated raffles based on the number of optional criteria and were then assigned their respective numbers onto an Excel spreadsheet. Three winners were then selected via random number generators.
So without further ado, I hereby announce the winners
